UNO is a visual artist based in Rome, active since the early 2000s.
His work develops through the classic techniques of Street Art and muralism, with a focus on posters, collages, stencils, décollage, and the repetition of iconic elements.

Drawing on and reinterpreting the legacy of Warhol, Debord, and Rotella, UNO employs endless repetition and frequent use of bright colors and fluorescent paints to play with — and subvert — the language of advertising.
Starting with the symbolic face from a famous chocolate commercial, he transforms it into an icon of individual revolution against mass society. A face liberated from the role assigned by its creators, paradoxically becoming the ideal vehicle for critiquing advertising itself.

His message is reinforced by an aesthetic of fragmentation, both material and pictorial: pixels, geometries, tears, and broken color fields merge into surfaces that evoke the laceration of the individual and their uniqueness, endlessly reshaped until lost within the multiplicity of mass society.
One hundred thousand, no one, UNO.
