Genius Loci · Roccafluvione – Ascoli Piceno, 2018
When I was told the story of this wall, it felt as if a Genius Loci were working to protect the fragment of the building that survived the earthquake. I imagined the ruined structure gently held by invisible, benevolent hands, cared for as something precious, while origami birds drift within, echoing that unseen force of protection.

'Genius Loci' was created for Muri a perdere, an art project in Ascoli Piceno supporting areas affected by the earthquake in the Marche region, and curated by Arte Pubblica.
